World Mental Health Day is observed on 10 October every year, with the overall objective of raising awareness of mental health issues around the world and mobilizing efforts in support of mental health. The theme for the World Mental Health Day 2021 is 'mental health in an unequal world.' Sarvottam International School held a talk show on World Mental Health Day with our esteemed guest Ms. Pratibha Malhotra ( Counseling Psychologist at Fortis Healthcare ) on 10th Oct, 2021 to acknowledge and emphasize the importance of mental health. It was organized and facilitated by the students of the Psychology Department and members of the Student Council under the mentorship of Dr Romita Banerjee, HoD Psychology and Head- School Counselling Cell. The team discussed the challenges faced by individuals in the areas of stigma, pity and support system. It served as an interactive platform for spreading awareness and clarifying doubts regarding our community’s mental health. Many tips and bits were shared by Ms Pratibha for the purpose of positive mental health and identification of distress issues. The session ended with a vote of thanks by the students' mental health panelists.
