Think Tank

Thinking about enrolling your child at a new school can be exciting but also a little stressful. There’s a lot to consider from academics to extracurriculars, from class size to school culture. At Sarvottam International School, we know parents and students often have many questions before making a decision. To simplify your decisions, we have compiled some of the most common questions about school admissions (and their answers!).

1. What’s the admission process like?

The first question every parent asks is about the admission process and quite rightly so! At Sarvottam International School, we’ve made this process as easy and transparent as possible. You can fill in an admission form to start the process Parents / Guardians can collect the Registration Form from the admission office or can download from the link.

The Registration Kit can be collected from the admission office from Monday – Saturday between 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Once you’ve submitted the admission form we’ll arrange an interaction or interview according to your child’s grade (No Entrance test for classes Pre-Nursery, Nursery & KG). This interaction will help us know more about your child’s interests, strengths and learning style. Following the interaction we will walk you through the steps to submit documents and coordinate the orientation process. We want this process to be smooth and stress-free for both you and your child.

2. Is there an entrance test?

This will depend on the grade your child is applying for (No Entrance test for classes Pre-Nursery, Nursery & KG). For younger grades, we typically conduct a friendly interaction to get to know your child better, rather than a formal test. For higher grades, we might take a Written Test (Applicable for class I to XI) and Interaction with VP/HM. It’s all about trying to understand your child’s academic level, so we can place them in the best spot for learning.

3. What documents do I need during admission?

Parents often feel confused about what documents to provide at the time of admission, so here is a short list. You’ll need your child’s birth certificate, immunization record, passport-size photographs, aadhar card of parents and students and the previous school report card (if applicable) and proof of address. For higher grades, a transfer certificate may also be required. Our staff will guide you to ensure that you don’t miss anything.

4. What’s the student-teacher ratio at Sarvottam International School?

This is one of the most frequent questions parents ask and for good reason! At Sarvottam we believe the best learning occurs when students get personal attention. This is the reason we keep class sizes fairly small and a good student-to-teacher ratio. With this model, our teachers can meet the different learning styles of each child and no one is left behind.

5. What extracurricular activities do you offer?

A child’s education isn’t just about books and exams but it is more about helping children to uncover their passions and talents. Thus, Sarvottam International School offers a variety of extracurricular activities such as sports, art, dance, music, drama, and public speaking. We believe that every child should have the opportunity to discover something outside the classroom and express themselves. Inter-school competitions, leadership clubs, and community events also help students grow in confidence and creativity.

6. How does the school ensure the safety of students?

Safety is always gonna be a top priority for every parent, and for us as well. Sarvottam International School maintains strict safety measures. Our school has 24-hour CCTV coverage, trained security staff, and a monitored entrance. In addition, there is a medical room along with a trained nurse available at all times.

7. What support systems are available for students?

Every child learns differently, and we understand that. Our teachers are trained to provide academic support to those students who need a little extra help. Our counsellors, too, assist students through social or emotional challenges. Our team is always available to support them whether it is adjusting to a new school, dealing with stress, or improving study habits.

8. What makes Sarvottam International School different from other schools?

We often say that Sarvottam International School isn’t just a school but it’s a whole community. Our goal is to develop well-rounded, socially aware, emotionally intelligent, and academically strong students. From our skilled and trained staff and modern classrooms, to our emphasis on values and creativity, everything is completely centered around the child.

Selecting the right school is a major move, yet it does not have to be stressful. We are here to help you in every single step of the admission process.
